Lilac Clematis The name Clematis derives from ancient Greek and literally means “climbing plant”. A relative newcomer to cut-flowers, clematis has only widely been available since 2006. Clematis is a member of the ranunculus and anemone family and is available in pink & purple hues which work beautifully in and amongst a mixed flower arrangement or as a single variety in a vase at home.
